2015-08-15 - Saturday - Chicken quesadilla

Saturday I used some leftover chicken to make a quesadilla. I added avocado, ripe olives, and a homegrown tomato that Karen's brother, Scott grew in PA. It was wonderful.

2015-03-24 - Tuesday - Yard plants and salt loading

Tuesday I checked on the yard again. I really like the way things change from day to day in the spring.  I had to grab another shot of the vinca blooming, more fiddle heads emerging, and the progress of the may apples. Things move fast.

Tuesday night we loaded the salt kiln. It takes many hands and since I got there late I stayed on the periphery, helped where I could and took some photos. We had a good crew and things got done very efficiently.

2010-10-18 Monday - Kale: It's not just for breakfast anymore...

I have recently discovered the joys of kale and pasta and am exploring that whenever I receive kale in my Absolute Organics delivery.  This week's entry was pasta with homemade tomato sauce, kale, chicken, and cannellini beans.  I'm hooked on kale.

2010-07-30 Friday - McCormick & Schmick's

On Friday evening a bunch of us met at McCormick and Schmick's for happy hour to see Jamie Hoover and Steve Stoeckel play their acoustic set.  Jamie and Steve never disappoint and the restaurant's happy hour menu is very good.  We had quite a good turnout of friends and we all had a good time.

At one point, Paul asked to borrow my camera and he had some fun with it as you can tell from this sampling of his photos.

A nice sunset.
(Good shots, Paul!)

I didn't partake much in the food at the restaurant since I had to go home and cook for the family.  I went home and made a chicken dish with red peppers, onions, and mushrooms.  It was pretty good and I will try to remember to make it again in the future.

Saturday 2009-03-14 Pi day

While today was "Pi Day" (3/14) and I made two pies (an apple and a cherry), I forgot to photograph them. It's just as well; they tested good, but they weren't really photogenic.

I only got one out of four tasks done today at the studio (well, two out of five if you count bringing the cherry pie with me). Lots more work to do on my current batch of earthen red creamer sets. Maybe on Sunday.

Stephanie had to get some green bagels.
Not too sure about them...

My Speedball underglazes came on Friday.
Can't wait to try them out.

I made some chicken breasts tonight
with parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme.
There might be a song there somewhere...
