2009-12-12 Saturday - Multi-Artist Home Sale

[I think this post catches me up again.  I'll try to stay on it.]

Becky, Elaine, Susan and I had a home sale on Saturday and while it was pretty darn chilly we still had a good number of people come through the garage.  We had to take some breaks and head into the house to warm up our toes, but we spent most of the time from ~9:30 until 4:00 outside and it was invigorating.  I think some of my sale mates would have other words for it, but it was invigorating for me.  I believe it was about forty-two degrees.

We had coffee and donuts, Elaine made a pineapple upside down cake (which was amazing!), and we ordered pizza for lunch.

Elaine and Paul went to Mt. Holly and broke down our displays so didn't have to leave the sale.  Thanks again, Elaine and Paul!

2009-12-11 Friday - Home Sale Tomorrow

I have been away from the blogging world for a while now --just too busy with all the seasonal things happening around here.  I'll be back on track soon.

I am pleased to report that we are having a multi-artist pottery sale at Goneaway Pottery tomorrow.  Becky Story, Elaine Spallone, and Susan Meadows will be joining me and bringing their wonderful pottery and sculptures.  If you are in the area and need some of those last minute Christmas gifts for someone (or you!), please stop in and see us.  Unique, handmade items are always appreciated.

2009-11-21 Saturday - Pottery Sale

Saturday I had a home sale and spent Friday night cleaning the garage and setting up everything. I thought it looked pretty good as my home sales go. I also put out "seconds" tables and after some pondering about prices I came up with a handy-dandy chart. I really want to find some of these pots a good home. There are various defects and mistakes, but they are still functional --even if not for their original purposes. It was a pretty slow day so I think I will try to squeeze another in before Christmas. Stay tuned.
