I took some photos of the pots we unloaded from the kiln on Monday. Except for the shivering, I was pleased with the results. Thanks Kim!

2010-12-09 Thursday - Goneaway Pottery Holiday Sale!

It's that time of year again!  It's time for the Goneaway Pottery Holiday Sale!  Come on by and see us on Saturday, December 11, 2010.  We'll have lots of great work by several local artists, some snacks, and some warm drinks.  And this year, something new and different --Heat!

2010-04-21 Wednesday - Website Graphs

You can graph a website by going to Webpages as Graphs and entering the URL of your choice.  It works by going through the HTML code used to build the page and creating a graph based on specific tags in the code.  It took several minutes to generate the graph for this blog, but only a moment for goneawaypottery.com since there are less tags in the page at GP.  It's interesting and fun to watch.

2010-03-27 Saturday - Spring Home Sale

Saturday was our Spring home sale.  The artists who joined me for the sale were Amy, Becky, Cindy, Elaine, Kim, and Susan.  While sales weren't what we wished them to be, it was a pleasant, sunny day and a nice time to visit with good friends and have some good food.  Thanks to all who participated and all who attended.

I really liked hosting the sale and thought the front lawn was a great place to hold it.  We had two 'rooms', one on each level of the yard and I think the layout worked well.  We have several other sales planned this year so stay tuned for dates and locations and come on out and see us.

We had some surprise guests while setting up in the morning.

2009-12-11 Friday - Home Sale Tomorrow

I have been away from the blogging world for a while now --just too busy with all the seasonal things happening around here.  I'll be back on track soon.

I am pleased to report that we are having a multi-artist pottery sale at Goneaway Pottery tomorrow.  Becky Story, Elaine Spallone, and Susan Meadows will be joining me and bringing their wonderful pottery and sculptures.  If you are in the area and need some of those last minute Christmas gifts for someone (or you!), please stop in and see us.  Unique, handmade items are always appreciated.

2009-11-21 Saturday - Pottery Sale

Saturday I had a home sale and spent Friday night cleaning the garage and setting up everything. I thought it looked pretty good as my home sales go. I also put out "seconds" tables and after some pondering about prices I came up with a handy-dandy chart. I really want to find some of these pots a good home. There are various defects and mistakes, but they are still functional --even if not for their original purposes. It was a pretty slow day so I think I will try to squeeze another in before Christmas. Stay tuned.

2009-11-18 Wednesday - Sales on Saturday

'Tis the season for pottery shows and sales. This weekend you can catch Julie Wiggins (and Team Celadon) at The Piedmont Craftsmen's 46th Fair on Saturday and Sunday, November 21, and 22 in booth J-8.


Oh, and by the way, I am having a home sale on Saturday, November 21, 9 am to 4 pm. Come by if you get the chance.
