August 19 - Sunday guild picnic

Sunday I attended the Carolina Clay Matters Pottery Guild picnic.  Frank and Verna Witt were gracious hosts for the annual guild picnic.  We had a nice time catching up with friends and eating some tasty food.

When it was over I stayed to help clean up and Frank and Verna asked me to stay and visit.  I love sharing the gloaming with friends.  It's a great way to wind down the day.

Sunday - Afternoon at the Mint Museum

Sunday the Carolina Clay Matters Guild met at the new Mint Museum for a nice tour lead by Verna Witt.  The new Mint is a wonderful space with lots of galleries, a huge atrium, and a very nice flow.  If you are in the area, make it a destination.

Afterward, Kim and I went back to the green to view the sculptures there.

2010-05-08 Saturday - Part 2: Barn Sale

After visiting Renfrow Hardware and the Matthews Farmers Market, we returned to the Spring Barn Sale.  It was a beautiful day and I understand sales were pretty good.
