2010-04-24 Saturday - Pottery and prom night

Saturday I went to Clayworks (you were surprised, I know) and trimmed some really dry bowls from last session.  Some of the usual suspects were about and had to leave way too early.

Saturday night was Stephanie's junior prom so after she previously spent six hours shopping for a dress, Karen took her to have her hair done on Saturday afternoon.  Unfortunately it was rainy in the evening and her curls fell a bit.  I had the important task of picking up the boutonniere, which I executed flawlessly.

I know I'm probably a bit prejudiced, but I think she was quite possibly the most beautiful girl at the prom.

2010-02-06 Saturday - Guess where?

Saturday was a fun day at Clayworks.  There was a huge crowd of people there doing what they do best --creating amazing things.  I am constantly amazed at what I see made in our studio.  My work can't help but improve just being around all this talent.  I think it's an immersion process:  I am surrounded by all this great work every time I'm there and it influences the way I think about what I'm doing.  Whatever the process, I am thankful for the opportunity to be around such a talented group of people.

I spent the afternoon there and I got a lot done, but forgot to photograph the work once again (argh!).
