2015-05-08 - Friday - Stephanie's graduation preparation

Friday we all converged on Cullowhee, NC for Stephanie's graduation from Western Carolina University on Saturday. We gathered from Charlotte, Pennsylvania, and Florida. Some came by plane, some by car, and some by RV, but we all came to share the joy of Stephanie's accomplishment.

Friday was also Scott's 50th birthday so we had a cake and celebration for him. He likes lemoncello so we got him a lemoncello cake from Just Simply Delicious Cakes, Desserts, & Confections in Waynesville, and it was wonderful. Debi does all kinds of specialty cakes, too. Check out their website.

Everyone had a good time and things got a bit silly --as usual.

August 15 - Wednesday friends food and pods

Pete and Annie were in town for the evening on Wednesday so we met for supper at Ru San's.  They live in Florida now and were heading to Asheville for Pete's business meeting so the timing worked out well.  It was great to see them again.  I have had a lot of good times with them over the last thirty years and I miss them now that they have moved.

After supper, it was on to Clayworks to make more pods.

April 18 - Genaro's and pottery

My parents were here for a few days on their trip home from Florida and on Wednesday I took them to Genaro's for supper.  They got the seafood combination and I got the steak with eggs.  All of our food was excellent and I'm sorry to say I finished all of mine except for a few french fries.

After dinner my father accompanied me to my pottery class at Clayworks.  I started out making some tumblers, but ended up making a medium sized pot instead.
