August 8 - Thursday - Crabbing, Food, and Dessert

Thursday Justin, Meredith and I went crabbing for a few hours.  We only caught one keeper that we eventually released, but we pulled up some other interesting creatures:  a blow fish, and a sea horse.  We also caught several small crabs which were released.  It was quite amazing to see all that wildlife in six to eight feet of water under the dock.

Later, it was back to the house for another great meal.

After supper we walked down to Rehoboth Blvd to get some dessert and do a little shopping.

Kohr Bros. ice cream is always a hit.

Slap fight on the bench.

10 seconds later.

Taking a breather.

August 8 - Thursday - Kitchen and food

With a large gas stove and two wall ovens (one with convection) you can turn out a bunch of good food.  And we did.  We always eat like royalty on vacation since we've got several good cooks in our family.  Having the right tools just makes it easier.

Good family.

Good food.

Good stuff.

August 5 - Monday - Rehoboth

Monday started with a great breakfast, lots of activity, and finished with a nice supper at The Cultured Pearl, and of course, Kohr Brothers ice cream.  A good day.

August 4 - Sunday - Rehoboth Beach, Delaware

Saturday we drove to Rehoboth, Delaware for our annual beach vacation.  We skipped Ocean City, NJ because the house usually rent was not available this year.

Rehoboth is a nice resort town with almost everything you might need within walking distance.  We were about a block and a half from the beach and the house we stayed in was wonderful with a nice kitchen, large stove, and accommodations for twelve people.  There were smart TVs in all the bedrooms with Blu-Ray players and a hot tub in the back yard.  Nice.

Table for twelve.

Kitchen helpers.

Long screen porch.

August 1 - Thursday - Two piece pot

I made another two piece pot on Thursday and played with lots of different decorations on it.  Trying everything I think of.

July 31 - Wednesday - Spider!

This is Laura.

She doesn't like spiders.

So she made an awesome one!

She built it on a kiln shelf so it could go right into the kiln without breaking.  Here she is taking it back to the kiln.  Can't wait to see it finished.

July 26 Friday - Hazelnuts

I am looking forward to these hazelnuts when they finally ripen.  The bush is loaded with them and they're huge.
