2015-03-26 - Thursday - Christmas

Well, almost. We unloaded the gas kiln tonight at Clayworks and that's always like Christmas. It was a good firing and I grabbed some snapshots after we unloaded, but I'll get some more "real" photos taken soon. I like to document my work.

2014-07-19 - Saturday - Mostly garlic

Saturday I went to Clayworks for about four hours and had a very productive day.  I made three garlic pots, a vase, and and a sphere (with leftover clay).  I'm not sure how I'm going to finish these garlic pots yet, but I have a few ideas.  The last batch were made with white clay and this is orangestone which changes some things.

Sunday - Latest work

Several friends have mentioned lately that I only post pictures of unfinished pieces, so here are some finished ones.  Most of these are from the last gas firing I was involved in at the old building.  We are currently on hiatus at Clayworks because we are moving to a new building.  You can read more about that here.

I can't wait to get back to making pots.  Clayworks starts up again on July 5th and I'll be waiting at the door when it opens.

2009-05-15 Friday at Clayworks

I went to the studio on Friday to get a few things done and found Kim, Ju-Ian, and Nick.

I slipped my "oil cans" and put them on the bisque shelf, threw some pots I hope to make into salt pigs, and a vase.

Kim was working on her honey pots that she is sending to Israel for a fund raiser. She says it is the first time she ever tried the flower work on her pots, but it's hard to believe. They are amazing.

Oh, and Nick and I spend too much time together. :^)
