2016-07-28 - Thursday - Cars and pots

I was sitting in traffic behind a car today whose license plate said "Y GAS?". When I got closer to it I noticed it was a Tesla so the joke makes sense. It was a nice looking car, too.

Thursday night I went to Clayworks and made some more new forms. I'm enjoying playing with these forms.

2016-07-27 - Wednesday - New forms & no room

Wednesday I played around with some new forms in raku clay. I quite like this shape and these marks. I believe I will play with this form some more and see where it takes me.

Meanwhile... back at the shelf...

I have no room. I've got bisqueware and greenware everywhere. I need to fire a bisque kiln and then I need to get on the schedule for the cone 10 gas kiln.

I have another problem looming. I have been throwing a bunch of raku pots and have no glazes. I need to get the chemicals and mix some raku glazes very soon.

Sunday I spent more time playing with forms and decoration. Trying to keep it light and fun but trying to poke at my boundaries too.

2015-10-27 - Tuesday - New forms

Tuesday I started experimenting with some new forms. I don't know where these are going, but I'm enjoying making them right now since they are a bit of challenge because they're new.

2015-01-21 - Wednesday - Potnesday

Wednesday I made some new forms and an old one. While I am trying out new forms I still go back to some of my favorites. I don't think I've explored everything on the "snorkel pots". That's what I call the one on the left with the elephant trunk neck. We'll see where they go.
